Global Frictionless Trade: Our Series A in Didero

Today, we are excited to share that we’ve co-led a $30 million Series A in Didero, alongside Headline, with participation from M12.

Didero is bringing AI agents to one of the most critical and most overlooked parts of the global economy: procurement and supply chain operations.

We started Chemistry with the belief that the next generation of iconic vertical AI companies would be built by founders who combine deep industry experience with real technical ambition. It is rare to meet a team that so clearly embodies both.

From our earliest conversations, Tim Spencer, Tom Petit, Lorenz Pallhuber, and the Didero team stood out for their clarity of vision and pace of execution.

A Massive Market Still Running on Manual Work

Supply chain software is a roughly $20B annual market that supports the movement of $30T worth of goods every year. Yet, the day-to-day reality of procurement teams still looks surprisingly manual. Teams chase suppliers over email, reconcile spreadsheets, update ERPs by hand, and firefight exceptions across fragmented systems.

The industry has grown used to slow implementations, heavy change management, and value that takes months or sometimes years to show up.

What struck us most about Didero was not just the ambition of the vision. It was how quickly customers were seeing real, measurable impact.

Where Agentic AI Meets Real Work

For many customers, Didero represents their first real deployment of agentic AI.

At Chemistry, we have long believed that enterprise AI agents create the most value when they operate where the critical work actually happens. That is easier said than done. Didero has made it real.

Their AI agents autonomously execute daily procurement work directly inside the systems teams already use, including ERPs, inboxes, and spreadsheets. There is no rip and replace. There is no massive replatforming. The agents meet teams exactly where they are.

Within weeks, Didero’s agents are handling supplier communication, order tracking, exception resolution, and operational coordination across complex and fragmented workflows. The speed is remarkable. As one VP of Procurement told us:

“Didero’s AI agents were autonomously executing mission critical procurement tasks for us within weeks. I have never seen anything like the speed or impact of this.”

In an industry conditioned to move slowly, that kind of reaction is rare.

Built for a More Complex World

Global supply chains are only becoming more complex, volatile, and data heavy. At the same time, procurement teams are being asked to do more with fewer resources using tools that were never designed for this reality.

Procurement is full of routine, high friction, mission critical work that demands context, judgment, and follow through. This is exactly the kind of work autonomous agents can now handle.

We believe Didero is building core infrastructure for the next era of global trade, and that Tim and team are uniquely positioned to lead what will be a once-in-a-generation transformation of procurement.

We could not be more excited to partner with them on this journey.

If you are excited about building at the intersection of AI and real world operations, Didero is based in New York City and hiring across engineering, sales, customer success, and more. Check out open roles here.
